Contribution Rules

You must be an individual who is normally a resident of Ontario.
Contributions must be made using your own personal funds and not with a corporate or business account or credit card.
Corporations and trade unions are not permitted to make contributions.
The maximum contribution to a single candidate is $1,200.
You may also contribute up to $1,200 to a third-party advertiser, including the value of any goods or services donated.
You may not contribute more than $5,000 in total to candidates and registered third-party advertisers in the same municipality.
Contributions cannot be made on behalf of another person or reimbursed by someone else.
Contributions over $25 cannot be made in cash and must be made by a method that clearly identifies the contributor.
