Housing must be our top priority. I've voted consistently for affordable housing developments. I've championed policies that increase our housing supply while ensuring it meets the needs of all Hamiltonians. We must continue to push for inclusive zoning and strong tenant protections.
Hamilton is Home – Housing for All
Attainable and affordable housing remains a priority for Hamiltonians.
Home ownership and suitably-sized, affordable rental units are merely a dream for a generation of young Hamiltonians. We cannot risk losing the talent and ambition of the next generation simply because people cannot afford a place to live. Some of our neighbours are at risk of losing their homes as rents have outpaced income.
Municipal governments have a role to play, but the provincial and federal governments carry much bigger responsibilities. The City must continue to advance its strategic action plan and seek collaborative partnerships with senior orders of government and Hamilton’s not-for-profit housing providers.

Ward 1 residents love their neighbourhood parks and access to the Escarpment and Waterfront trails. Residents have also championed more trees, native plantings, and public art. Together, here’s what we’ve delivered:
